Residential VOIP Phone Plans

nTech & Communications can supply you with a reliable and high quality VOIP solution for having a home phone over the NBN. Vonex is a world leader in IP Phones and recently one CRN’s Fast 50. Some of their clients include Toyota, Ray White, RSPCA and Ted’s Camera’s. Others include Auto Masters, Freedom Pools, Wittner Shoes and various government agencies. Not only will the plans save you money on your existing copper or IP solution, but the quality is often better then traditional copper lines, meaning you get to maintain or even improve the quality, at a fraction of the price. Best of all, you can port your existing number** to the server, which means you get to keep the number you have been using for all these years.

How it works

Phones used to run over the copper network which support the analog phone devices, however with the introduction of the NBN (which is all digital), they will be removing the copper network as it’s no longer required. As such, your standard analog phone will not work with the NBN on it’s own unless you use the UNI-V port on your NBN box which only some carriers support, and is quite costly. However, with the Vonex Voice Box, you can plug in your existing analog phone and have it working with the NBN. The Vonex Voice Box is an ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter) device which converts the analog single into a digital one to be transported via the NBN Fibre network. This enables you to continue using your home phone without the need for a copper network, and expensive line rental. And unlike most VOIP providers, Vonex do not compress the data which the phone is using, which means the quality is the same, if not better, than traditional copper lines.
