Social Media can be a great way for businesses to advertise their products and services. It can increase hits to your website, and get more people going through your doors. This means an increase in turn over, and as it’s a free medium of advertising, it also increases your bottom line. However maintaining and keeping active on social media can be such a burden, that it can often have the opposite effect, or, become just ‘too hard’. It doesn’t need to be that way.
There are many tools available which enable you to schedule when you want things to happen on social media, and they are great as they enable you to do all your weeks (Or months?) postings in one sitting, and manage multiple networks. However IFTTT (If This Then That) take it to a whole new level with automated tasks, triggers, and actions. This means that your device can pretty much take over the job with some direction.
c|net have written a great article entitled “How to use IFTTT to win at social media”, which is really worth the read and explains probably the best way to use it (At least, the best way for the person writing the article). It’s a great place to start if you want to start generating some more “Buzz” without having to put in too much extra time.
There is also a great article about it here explaining what it is in further detail (Also on c|net)
